Cast.

Tye Mcgivern
Man One / Jimmy /Relativist Two: A regular Jack-of-all-trades, Tye McGivern is accomplished in the double bass, Chinese banjo and Arabian bongos. He is perhaps best known in the Brighton area for his numerous successes in local pie eating contests. He has never acted before.

Lucius Tenpenny

Man Two: Lucius Tenpenny was the twelfth child to be adopted by Kevin Spacey, and only the fourth to eventually be returned to their biological parents. He grew up in one of the many airing cupboards of the Old Vic, sharing a bunk with his new twin brother Gabriel Byrne and a comfortable amount of damp leotards. While never having actually appeared on stage before, his knowledge of the acting process is second to none.

Duncan Cottle

Doctor: Duncan Cottle was a regular in the North West amateur dramatics scene for more than three decades. He has wowed audiences with consistently strong performances, including lead roles such as Professor Quixotic in ‘The Saurus’, The man with no eyebrows in ‘The Man with no eyebrows’ and Michael Mann in ‘The Making of Heat: The Musical’. In addition to this, Duncan dazzled with speaking roles on Casualty and the Bill, and a number of very well-received appearances on Coronation Street. This will be his first performance since moving to Brighton at the beginning of the year.

Zac Pinkberry

Mr Rudolph: It's unlikely that anybody reading this missed Zac Pinkberry's performance as Nutsy the Vulture in Lewes Primary School's production of Disney's Robin Hood. The memory of this piece of exemplary theatre may now be twenty years old, but it is still talked about as the moment in which we witnessed the birth of a star. With follow up roles as a rabbit in Sleeping Beauty, a fox in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves,  and  Inspector A in The Trial, Pinkberry has been living up to our high expectations. Following a ten year hiatus from acting, Zac has agreed to play the role of Mr Rudolph in exchange for money.

Paul Batterson
Tennis Player: Paul Batterson is a new, and welcome, addition to the theatre. A fishmonger by trade (you could say it’s in his sole!), he auditioned for Burgess Hill Theatre Company’s production of Guys and Dolls after losing a bet with his cousin. Unsuited for musical theatre, he was however bitten by the acting bug, and proceeded to systematically audition for every upcoming role in the county, his first success being that of the Tennis Player. We’re very pleased to have him on board.

Sam Smith
George / Colin / Zeno / Popper: Sam Smith is perhaps one of the more versatile actors in the production, his greatest strength being his wide range of excellent accents, including German, Austrian, Swiss and Austro-Bavarian. He is now renowned for his chilling performance as Mr Potato Head in the Hove Voices production of Toy Story, which The Argus described as both ‘outstanding’ and ‘disturbing’. However, fans know him best as the loveable Rex in the local annual Christmas Toy Story 2 extravaganza.

Harry Epstein

Minister One: Harry Epstein is one half of avant garde mime act, the Epstein Brothers. Notoriously wary of side projects, particularly 'talkies', Harry leapt at the chance to act alongside Sam Smith.

Barry Epstein

Minister Two: Barry Epstein is one half of avant garde mime act, the Epstein Brothers. Notoriously wary of side projects, particularly 'talkies', Barry leapt at the chance to act alongside Duncan Cottle.

Jimmy Huxley

Isaac: Fans of comedy will already be familiar with Jimmy Huxley from his weekly Hoots and Hooch night at the Hogspade Cafe. For the last four summers he has taken his one-man show, 'I am Huxley, hear me roar' to Edinburgh. By all accounts his performances contained an excellent ratio of jokes to non-jokes. This is his first serious acting role.

Petra Lee

Relativist One:  Petra Lee's experience lies predominantly in the field of dance. She studied Modern Tap at the Kent County School of Movement, Classical Composition at North Yorkshire College of Ballet, and Contemporary Jazz Fusion at Falmouth D!A!N!C!E! School. She has however now parted ways with the dance community, over creative differences, and is trying her hand at acting. Working with the TravellingActingCompany, Petra has been cutting her teeth with meaty roles in stage adaptations of Footloose, Dirty Dancing and the Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.

Bill Williamson

Mr Smith: Bill Williamson is a carpenter by day, bartender by night and Curator of the Brighton Fishing Museum at weekends. He also occasionally acts.
